11. Personal Information Policy 1. Respect for Fellow Forumers All members of this forum will respect the opinions and presence of other members of the forum. You are welcome to engage in challenging and spirited debate with other users, but rudeness will not be tolerated. Name-calling, disrespecting other users or throwing personal insults against them will not be tolerated, either from an instigator or from anyone who feels like they should respond to such instigation. We expect our forumers to be tolerant and embrace the differences, rather than challenge them. Personal attacks of any kind are not allowed and users who violate this will be placed on probation and may be banned. If you have an issue with another user, contact a moderator or administrator.
Sending out un-solicited Private Messages (PM) for your own self-promotion can be considered harassment. Users are asked to forward any PMs to a moderator.
Flaming new members for their ignorance on proper posting procedures, their grammar or spelling issues, or the content of their messages is expressly forbidden. You are welcome to debate and question them, but not to attack them for being new and unsure of our rules. We appreciate our members' concern for new members and invite everyone to welcome them as they arrive in the "Welcome Wagon" forum.
2. Respect for Forum Spamming (purposely posting messages designed solely to alarm other users) will not be tolerated. The staff will determine if someone is spamming. Bumping threads is also considered spamming (don't bump threads by just writing "bump" and the like). Any posts that do not contribute to the topic of the thread are also spam. If users go extremely off topic, the post(s) may be moved or deleted.
All of our forums are designated for specific topics. Please keep that in mind when creating threads to make sure you are in the right place. Feel free to PM an administrator or moderator with any questions about where you should be posting something. Use the search button before starting a new topic to avoid double posting. If you double post, it will either be merged or deleted.
3. Respect for Staff The forum is a privately-owned and operated discussion fan website and community under the authority of its Administrators, and run with the aid of additional Moderators who act on the Forum Administrator’s authority. At all times members of this Forum will follow the instructions of these moderators and administrators. Should you have an issue with the way a staff member is behaving or disagree with their judgment, you are asked to please contact the Forum Administrator via email or private message to express your concerns. Please do not take matters into your own hands. Our staff is entirely volunteer, and deserves the freedom to be able to do their volunteer jobs.
Members are also asked not to take moderation into their own hands by picking on other users; let us know there is an issue so that we, the staff, may take care of it. Additionally, our members will practice common courtesy in dealing with the staff, other users and the administrators of this forum.
4. Probation and Banning Policy If you get placed on probation it means that you have broken one of our rules.
You will be contacted by a moderator, or admin, who will tell you what the offense was and the terms and duration of your probation.
Your situation will be reviewed and you will be removed from probation, or banned. Repeated probation will result in a permanent ban.
Probations and bans are not discussed in public forums. All communication regarding any infraction will be done privately.
This forum reserves the right to deny access without prior notification.
5. Formatting in Forum Posts DO NOT SPAM! Spamming includes chattering in the forums, double posting, excessive posting, posting just to raise your forum rank or making any posts irrelevant to the topic. Such posts will be deleted and will not go toward your total post count.
When creating a thread please be as descriptive as possible in the title and the content of the post. The information in your thread may be eventually searched for. Any inappropriately titled threads will be edited.
Before posting a new topic, check for already created threads relating to your topic. The Search option is quite the handy tool. Do not double post. Double posts will either be merged or deleted so please save the moderators the trouble.
Please use the bold, italics, alignment and especially the color options for your text for emphasis only rather than the entire posts. Those posts are very hard to read, and downright annoying.
Do not quote posts with pictures in them. If you do, delete the image tag and only quote the text.
Do not reserve space.
6. Spoiler Policy Do not spoil the game for others. Make sure you know where another member is at in the game. Do not reveal any of the plot or how to beat a certain part of the game unless someone requests it. If the story line or mission solutions are requested and discussed in the forum, please make sure that your post is properly formatted so that other members do not read it accidentally by using the
spoiler tag.
7. Multiple accounts and username changes These forums allow only one account per person. You should only have one account with your username set the same as your Xbox Live Gamertag (so you are easily identifiable by other guild members and will be able to access the guild and group members only forums).
If you are having problems accessing your account please email an administrator. If you are found to have more than one account, all occurrances will be placed on probation until we can contact you to resolve the issue. So just don't do it. It's creepy.
If your Xbox Live Gamertag has changed and you need to change your forum username, please contact an administrator.
8. Language Policy There isn't one, damn it! Just don't use it to insult other users.
9. Age-Appropriateness Policy (Adult Site Policy) This site is not rated. Be aware that this site may contain material not suitable for those under the age of 18.
We would suggest that if you provide a link to any site having adult content, make it very clear in your post that it does as a precaution to prevent kids surfing upon that content.
10. Signature Policy Avoid large signature pictures; they slow down threads dramatically for our modem users. You may only have one image in your signature. The image width cannot exceed 500 pixels and the height cannot exceed 200 pixels. If your image is too large, it will be removed.
This forum reserves the right to review and edit signatures as necessary.
11. Personal Information Policy In the interest of the privacy and safety of our users, please use our Private Message (PM) system for exchanging personal information such as last names, screen names, e-mail and home addresses. Do not post them in any forum or thread. The information you may provide to others is at your own discretion. Do not share other peoples' personal information.
