Fable II Pub Games

What's your strategy? Will you be going into the game with a load of cash or start out in debt? Have tips to win big on certain games? Do we have any cheaters in our midst? Discuss it all here.

For those of you who have not heard, there is a glitch in the Pub Games that allows you to get rich quick. The glitch allows you to bet one thing, but have the computer think you bet a much higher value thereby giving you a tons more gold back - even if you cash out on a hand you would typically lose money on. I actually haven't participated in the Pub Games for a substancial amount I've only obtained about 2,000 legit.

i got the one thing i wanted from pubgames and thats the backflip i cheated a little after then tho as the odds are so badly against you it just wasnt fun cot to about 5k and have stoped

Of coarse I made sure to get a couple items, I found the Fortunes Tower tournaments fun. I didn't even know about the glitch until I halted playing. I doubt I would have used it though.

FORTUNES TOWER ALL THE WAY .....(and a lil keystone now and then) all the money i make in the pub games will go towards a home and all the decorations and potions

I see this controversey everywhere. I've also read articles confirmed PM confirmed no consequence. I personally believe it was accidental. =P

Why don't people ever believe me when i tell them the THE GLITCH WAS NO ACCIDENT all i get is hate mail about how it couldn't have been an accident and that PM is lieing

Im starting to think it may have been an accident since they put out a patch, but we wont know till the game came out, I kinda think PM said all that about the consequences to hold people off till be patch came out but hey either way im getting money Very Happy

"That's right, the patch is finally here. It has removed the glitch, and reset the fortunes tower leader boards. You do not lose your current money won by using the glitch."

"I know there was a rumor that if you didn't do the update you won't be able to import the items/gold to your Fable II character, anyone know if something official was released about this when they released the patch news? If that is true then you can just update your game the day Fable 2 comes out. I highly doubt it is true, but it might get auto patched when you put the disk in."

I don't think that there is a way to tell who cheated and who didn't. I thought about it, and the only way they would have been able to determine who the cheaters are, would be if they had recorded one of these combinations of information;
1. how much gold was deducted from your stack vs. how much gold the bet was set for.
2. how much profit vs. what the points were for the hand.
3. the total profit for hands won vs. total loss of hands busted.
There would be no reason for them to record any of this. It is safe to assume there will be no consequences for cheating.

On a side note, I read in an article that there will be appearance changes for those who gambled at all.

its got all the big glitchers worried like crazy over on xbox.com.

glitchers running scared = priceless
