i think it sucks...i liek the other halos better. not big on real time strategy..if you want to play with someone add jared. he has it and loves it.

well halo wars is much like left4dead in all these senses:

1. it was created by nerds, for nerds: both games' development teams had a high 'nerd' count as compared to (in halo wars' case) their preceding games, accompanying that is the fact that everyone wanted a halo movie, or at least be able to see how desperate it was like to fight the covenant in the beginning, before Reach fell.

2. cinematic and AI score: halo wars had what halo was slim in: FMV sequences. the 'movie sequences' between each story mission was 1. interestingly BADASS(opinion), 2. creative, and 3. it didn't have a super powerful faceless god as a main character, both games you played as 'those guys' who just happen to exist during a story and this is their tale of trying to survive


and another thing i have to point out, FUCKING SPARTANS! unlike halo, where you were the 'last' Spartan, and if you read the books you know better, you play as an admiral, a SGT(which drives me crazy, in reality, he'd be at least an LT at the amount of resources and soldiers he runs), or a scientist, which is neat because you are all just human

BUT

SPARTANS!

there is an FMV where you see three spartans totally show some elites what's up, while a human dukes 1 on 1 against the Arbiter

i just started babbling on, i dont really remember writing this actually, i walked away and forgot to hit send

so after that night of hell theo, i really think that we need a third person, and we need to work out a hardcore strategy, i was thinking dropping back to be the prophet of regret, and build lots of AA vampires, and a few wraiths and a scarab, but it always seems like they have a higher population count than us, cuz their troop numbers mop the score of mine

we need more people.

i found a strategy where everyone chooses cutter (in a 3v3), and drives to a single base with their lone warthog, everyone MACBlasts the base, and the 3 warthogs ram to destroy.

one base dead in ~1min.

insanity....

that works, but then we just temporarily crippled ourselves to the other two, who actually spent money to build up troops, giving them 5 minutes to have troops built up while we're poor and scavenging for resources

well this is while we are building our initial base, all we lose is 600 resources each, and a hog. and now we're down one enemy, and it's 2v3. =P

better than a force of warthogs amirite?

mkay you win this round batman, but ALL OF US get just enough resources for 1 supply pad, so we're not fighting over the supply crates on da floor

you start out with 1500 resources??? i think (off the top of my head here).

so i mean, we send hogs in, run to base, que some buildings... and then Blast em to hell!
