| So, currently working on repairing my xbox, instead of paying 100+ to ship and repair at MS.
My warranty is gone, and since they won't help me, i'll spend the 20 and fix it myself.
Pics and details (aka, if i succeed or not), will follow in a day or so.

| annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd fixed! for now.
letting it download some stuff, and will test it laters.
but for now, seems like it's working...
basically cleaned the cpu and gpu, reapplied thermal grease, and then removed the x-clamps and used a bolt and some washers (nylon and metal) to get the spacing right, so the heatsink sat flush with the cpu/gpu. the x-clamps actually seem to put force on the motherboard, putting some of the solder points under stress...which leads to broken connections (various errors and the RRoD)
let it heat up so solder would ball and hopefully keep connected.
word up. pics eventually.
