I'm knee deep into politics and i was just curious to know who you guys were planning on voting for and why
and if you aren't eligible to vote you can still voice your opinion.

Come election day , i'll be voting for Barack Obama(and no not because hes black only an idiot votes based on appearance) because i will not vote for a man who still wants soldiers to fight in iraq
because i dont want these same 8 years to repeat all over again
because even though my family will be paying more taxs , i feel that its fair(and dare i say..patriotic) that the rich pay more taxs and the working/middle class pay less
because our economy is in horrible shape
because (in my opinion) we need universal health care
and because we need a foreign policy that works

CHANGE IS COMING

well honestly i don't believe in McCain , or Obama but i would go with Obama , just becuase i think he is the better of the 2 . No matter who is president they are going to mess up every president does , i am a firm believer in that . McCain has more knowledge than Obama , but Obama has new fresh ideas that make him very interesting . i don't give a rats butt that he is black , he just seems to be better . hopefully who ever wins they will honestly try and help us out , the working class stiffs that is

Stephen Harper!
Oh wait, wrong elections. Well if I did live in the U.S. I would vote for Obama and believe it or not, until last week, I have heard more about the U.S. elections than the Canadian ones. (about half of our cable channels are American)

Definitely Obama. I am tired of having these republican's running the US straight to hell. I think Obama is something fresh and different that we need. And I believe everyone should have there own opinion and I respect that but I just think that people who want McCain to win are just ignorant.

While I do support certain pillars of the Republican party such as pro-life, I think Obama would make the better President. I'm only 17, but i've been doing political things (local campaign management and such) since I was 15, so I have a pretty good idea when politicians dodge questions or bs them. I've seen several speeches from both McCain and Obama and from what I've seen, when John McCain doesn't want to answer a question he just reverts back to his years as a POW. I have seen Obama in similar situations but have noted his answers are always more starightforward saying things like I can't answer that right now. Honestly though I don't have a say in this election as I turn 18 just 18 days after election day lol. But those are my views

but i guess as long as people don't get too into it; it's fine eh?

once you get to know me; you will know who i am voting for

oh nah, it's not that; it has to do with others in a small community being shunned for political beliefs
like the majority of the people on here like Obama, what about the few who support McCain?
i'm not one, but politics do play a role in how we view another person in some cases

i won't be one to judge someone else; but not all others are like me

lol o ok i see, well listen, yes the majority of the people here are for Obama, but if someone wants to voice their on views and side with Mccain they have every right to do so ..and if anyone on here is going to get nasty(ex: name calling , or ad hominems at all) they'll be automatically expelled from the guild(depending on the severity)

kk, well i do agree with you, Obama is totally worthy of being elected
i am voting for him

i am worried about 1 thing and that is an assassination attempt by some extremest/ inside government job
i would hate to see all of the progress this country has made [if elected] only to see it step back
i know it is wrong to think like that, but i can't help but fear

he is a brave person
